The Bells of a Forgotten Land

This is a story of a man whose entire life seemed to be a journey of overcoming trials in pursuit of a dream. The difficult path toward that dream unfolds from a small village to a big city, with the protagonist encountering the horrors of war—a war he is drawn into by the circumstances of his life. The novel depicts the interethnic relations in Nakhichevan during the 20th century, as well as the hardships of pre-war and post-war life, the changes, and the tensions of the era. The protagonist’s personal story is closely intertwined with the fate of the Armenian people. The complex chapters of history are experienced through the prism of an individual’s life, reflecting how historical events impact the lives of ordinary people.
